.The Flood Warnings continue along the Kickapoo River from Ontario
to Steuben...

River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast
precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars into flooded areas. Remember, it only takes two
feet of water to float most automobiles, including sport utility
vehicles. Turn Around, Don`t Drown!

The Flood Warning continues for
  The Kickapoo River At Ontario.
* until Friday evening...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  3:10 PM Thursday the stage was 20.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall...Dropping below flood
  stage by Friday morning.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding occurs along the river in the
  Ontario area. Water may be over Highway P near Bridge 10, and also
  over Winchell Valley Road at Bridge 8.

* until Saturday morning...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  3:00 PM Thursday the stage was 14.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 14.6 feet by this
  evening. The river will fall below flood stage Friday.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...There is significant flooding in and around
  La Farge.

* At  1:09 PM Thursday the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.8 feet by
  Friday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Saturday
  evening.
* Impact...At 19.0 feet...Water goes over Main Street in Viola. There
  is a potential for serious damage in town.

* At  3:00 PM Thursday the stage was 15.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 16.0 feet by
  Friday morning. The river will fall below flood stage Sunday
  morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Water is up to the bottom of the Charles
  Street Bridge.

* At  2:10 PM Thursday the stage was 13.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 19.0 feet by
  Friday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Monday
  morning.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet...Water can be expected in the town of Gays
  Mills with depth possibly reaching two feet in places.

* At  2:45 PM Thursday the stage was 11.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to
  rise to near 16.5 feet by Friday evening. The river will fall below
  flood stage by Monday evening.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet...The town of Steuben experiences significant
  flooding.
