...THE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL
1215 PM CDT FOR SOUTHWESTERN OLMSTED COUNTY...

At 1111 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
approximately 1 inch of rain has fallen in the past hour. This will
cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Rochester, Stewartville, Byron, Marion, High Forest, Pleasant Grove,
Rock Dell, and Chester.

The heaviest rainfall has moved out of the area, though a few brief,
heavier showers are still possible through the next hour.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
