Flood Statement
National Weather Service La Crosse WI
702 PM CDT SAT JUL 23 2016

.Heavy rainfall during the late morning and early afternoon
briefly pushed the Middle Fork of the Whitewater River near
Whitewater Park above flood stage. However, the river has
since crested and fallen below flood. While water levels
will remain high into Sunday, the river is now expected to
remain below flood stage.

River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast
precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Do not drive cars into flooded areas. Remember, it only takes two
feet of water to float most automobiles, including sport utility
vehicles. Turn Around, Don`t Drown!
