CLARK WI-
501 AM CDT FRI MAR 20 2015

...THE ARROYO AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR AN ICE JAM REMAINS
IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM CDT FRIDAY FOR SOUTH CENTRAL CLARK COUNTY...

AT 845 PM THURSDAY NIGHT...EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT OFFICIALS REPORTED
AT LEAST A HALF MILE LONG ICE JAM...WHICH EXTENDS FROM THE BEGINNING
OF LAKE ARBUTUS...UPSTREAM TO THE HIGHWAY 95 BRIDGE CROSSING...AND
BEYOND. MINOR FLOODING IS OCCURRING ALONG THE RIVER IN THESE AREAS
DUE TO THE ICE BLOCKING THE FLOW OF WATER THROUGH THE AREA.

AS OF 445 AM...AUTOMATED RIVER MONITORING EQUIPMENT UPSTREAM OF LAKE
ARBUTUS CONTINUE TO INDICATE AN ICE JAM IN THIS AREA. LAW ENFORCEMENT
REPORTED THAT THE RIVER FLOODING WAS NOT IMPACTING ANY ROADS OR
STRUCTURES. BUT WATER LEVELS OFTEN FLUCTUATE RAPIDLY DURING ICE
JAMS...AND IT IS POSSIBLE THAT PORTIONS OF REECEWOOD AVENUE MAY HAVE
WATER OVER THE ROADWAY AT SOME POINT. IF WATER GETS HIGH
ENOUGH...SOME HOMES AND CABINS ALONG REECEWOOD AVENUE MAY BE
IMPACTED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A FLOOD ADVISORY MEANS RIVER OR STREAM FLOWS ARE ELEVATED OR PONDING
OF WATER IN URBAN OR OTHER AREAS IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
