.Heavy rainfall has led to flooding along the Kickapoo River.

River forecasts take into account both observed and forecast
precipitation.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If you live in a threatened area, be alert for high or rising water,
and be ready to move to higher ground if necessary.

Do not drive cars into flooded areas. Remember, it only takes two
feet of water to float most automobiles, including sport utility
vehicles. Turn Around, Don`t Drown!

The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Kickapoo River At Gays Mills.
* until Thursday afternoon.
* At  5:48 AM Wednesday the stage was 12.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this morning and continue to
  rise to near 14.3 feet by this morning. The river will fall below
  flood stage by today.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet...Water begins to cover roads near the river,
  including Sand Hill Road near Bell Center. Minor flooding occurs in
  areas adjacent to the river, including Robb Park in Gays Mills.
