PRECIPITATION...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 76.1 DEGREES WHICH WAS 2.3
DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 86.1
DEGREES WHILE THE AVERAGE LOW WAS 66.0 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 96 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 6TH.
THE COOLEST TEMPERATURE IN JULY WAS 59 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE
3RD.

A TOTAL OF 7.63 INCHES OF RAIN FELL DURING THE MONTH...WHICH IS 3.37
INCHES ABOVE THE NORMAL FOR JULY. THE GREATEST DAILY PRECIPITATION
AMOUNT WAS 2.85 INCHES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 19TH.

THUNDERSTORMS THAT ROLLED ACROSS THE AREA FROM THE 18TH TO 22ND
DROPPED A TOTAL OF 6.51 INCHES OF RAIN, MOST OF IT FALLING ON THE
19TH ( 2.85") TO THE 20TH (2.30") FOR A 2 DAY TOTAL OF 5.15 INCHES.
THIS HEAVY RAIN BROUGHT FLASH FLOODING, MUD AND ROCK SLIDES, AND
RAPIDLY RISING STREAMS AND RIVERS ACROSS THE AREA. HIGH TEMPERATURES
DURING THE MONTH REACHED 90 DEGREES OR HIGHER 5 TIMES, NORMAL IS 7
DAYS.
