LA CROSSE WI...

ON MONDAY  NOVEMBER 17TH  THE HIGH TEMPERATURE AT LA CROSSE REGIONAL
AIRPORT WAS 17 DEGREES.  THIS MADE IT THE SIXTH CONSECUTIVE DAY IN
WHICH THE TEMPERATURES HAS FAILED TO CLIMB TO OR ABOVE FREEZING.
THIS HAS ONLY HAPPEN 13 TIMES IN A NOVEMBER.  TEMPERATURE RECORDS
FOR LA CROSSE DATE BACK TO 1872.  THIS IS THE LONGEST STRETCH OF
DAYS SINCE 1991 /NOVEMBER 2-8 - 7 DAYS/.  THE LONGEST STRING OF
CONSECUTIVE DAYS IN A NOVEMBER IS 11 STRAIGHT DAYS AND THAT OCCURRED
IN 1880 /NOVEMBER 16-26/.  THE TABLE BELOW LISTS THE LONGEST STRETCH
OF SUB-FREEZING DAYS IN NOVEMBER AT LA CROSSE WI.
