THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH OF JULY WAS 71.0 DEGREES WHICH
WAS WAS 2.7 DEGREES BELOW NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS 81.0
DEGREES...WHILE THE AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 60.9 DEGREES. THE
HIGHEST TEMPERATURE DURING THE MONTH WAS 91 DEGREES ON THE
22ND...AND THE LOWEST READING WAS 51 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE
3RD.

LA CROSSE RECEIVED 5.00 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION DURING THE MONTH OF
JULY WHICH WAS 0.74 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THE GREATEST 24-HOUR
PRECIPITATION AMOUNT WAS 2.99 INCHES WHICH FELL ON JULY 12TH.

JULY 2014 BEGAN SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL THANKS TO A COOL NORTHWESTERLY
FLOW ACROSS MUCH OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS AND GREAT LAKES REGION. ON
JULY 12TH A RECORD PRECIPITATION EVENT OCCURRED WITH 2.99 INCHES
FALLING BREAKING THE OLD RECORD OF 2.65 INCHES...SET IN 1953. THE
2.99 INCHES OF RAIN ON THE 12TH ACCOUNTS FOR OVER HALF OF THE TOTAL
PRECIPITATION FOR THE MONTH. A POTENT COLD FRONT FOR MID JULY KEPT
HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE LOW TO MID 70S ON THE 14TH...15TH AND
16TH...WHICH WAS ABOUT 10 DEGREE BELOW NORMAL. THE END OF THE MONTH
HAD NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES WITH TWO NOTABLE PRECIPITATION
DAYS...JULY 25TH WHEN 0.54 INCHES FELL AND JULY 29TH WHEN 0.56
INCHES FELL.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN AUGUST IS 71.4 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE HIGH
