...PRELIMINARY DAMAGE ASSESSMENTS...

.OVERVIEW...DAMAGE SURVEYS WERE CONDUCTED ACROSS PARTS OF
NORTHEAST IOWA AND SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN FROM THE EARLY MORNING STORMS
OF MONDAY JUNE 22ND. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM FAYETTE COUNTY
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT HAS LED TO SOME ADJUSTMENTS ON THE TRACK.

NO TORNADOES COULD BE CONFIRMED IN BOTH CLAYTON COUNTY IOWA
OR GRANT COUNTY WISCONSIN SO FAR. ALL DAMAGE SURVEYED APPEARS
TO BE STRAIGHT LINE WIND RELATED. AGAIN...THIS IS PRELIMINARY.

SURVEY SUMMARY: DAMAGE TO CROPS...TREES...AND FARM BUILDINGS
WAS SEEN ALONG AND SOUTH OF 80TH STREET IN RURAL FAYETTE
COUNTY...FROM L AVE TO F AVE. THE WORST DAMAGE WAS ON 80TH
STREET JUST EAST OF COUNTY ROAD W33 WHERE A HOUSE WAS MOVED
OFF ITS FOUNDATION AND TREES WERE HEAVILY DAMAGED. THERE WAS
OTHER OUTBUILDING...GRAIN ELEVATOR...AND TREE DAMAGE EAST
AND WEST OF THERE. APPEARS TORNADO WAS NEAR START OF DAMAGE
PATH AND MANY OF THE OTHER DAMAGE SPOTS WERE CREATED BY
STRAIGHT LINE WIND...INCLUDING A MEASURED WIND GUST OF 101
MPH.
