...A statement concerning The Turkey River at Elkader...Upper Iowa
River near Dorchester...

Heavy rain has resulted in significant rises on area rivers, streams
and creeks. However, no flooding is expected at this time.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this morning was 9.80 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.70 feet
Friday morning, which is below flood stage.

Upper Iowa River near Dorchester along Highway 76...The stage this
morning was 10.05 feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river is
forecast to reach 11.10 feet Friday morning, which is below flood
stage.
