...A statement concerning The Mississippi River from McGregor
downstream through Guttenberg Dam 10...and the Yellow River at
Necedah...

Significant precipitation over the past week continues to result in
high water along the Yellow River in central Wisconsin, as well as
portions of the Mississippi River. Here are the latest stages and
forecasts for locations where water levels remain within a few feet
of flood stage.

For the Mississippi River...
At McGregor...The stage Thursday morning was 13.66 feet. Flood stage
is 16 feet. The river is forecast to continue to slowly fall over the
next several days.

At Guttenberg Dam 10...The stage Thursday morning was 12.57 feet.
Flood stage is 15 feet. The river is forecast to continue to slowly
fall over the next several days.

For the Yellow River at Necedah...The stage Thursday this morning was
11.69 feet. Flood stage is 15 feet. The river will fall slowly for
the next few days...but will then rise again, reaching a crest near
13.5 feet by Sunday evening.
