...A statement concerning The Cedar River at Lansing...Turkey River
at Elkader...Upper Iowa River near Dorchester...

Forecast rainfall is expected to result in significant rises on area
rivers, streams, and creeks. However no flooding is expected at this
time. But, should the amount of rain that falls differ significantly
from the forecast amoutns, expected river levels will change.
Therefore, caution is advised when using these forecasts.

Cedar River at Lansing...The stage this morning was 11.26 feet. Flood
stage is 18.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 14.80 feet Friday
morning, which is below flood stage.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this morning was  8.85 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.40 feet
Friday, which is below flood stage.

Upper Iowa River near Dorchester along Highway 76...The stage this
morning was 9.66 feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river is
forecast to reach 11.40 feet Saturday morning, which is below flood
stage.
