...A STATEMENT CONCERNING THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT ALMA DAM 4 AND
LANSING...


HEAVY RAINFALL THE PAST FEW WEEKS HAS RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT RISES
ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THE RIVER WILL CONTINUE TO FALL THIS
WEEK. NO FLOODING IS EXPECTED AT THESE LOCATIONS.

MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT ALMA DAM 4...THE STAGE THIS MORNING WAS 11.8
FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 16.0 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE TO
FALL AND DROP BELOW 10 FEET THURSDAY.

MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT LANSING...THE STAGE THIS MORNING WAS 15.9 FEET.
FLOOD STAGE IS 17.0 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE TO FALL
OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.
