...A STATEMENT CONCERNING THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AT ALMA DAM 4 AND LANSING...

HEAVY RAINFALL THE PAST FEW WEEKS HAS RESULTED IN SIGNIFICANT RISES ON
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THE RIVER IS NEARING ITS CREST...AND WILL BEGIN
TO FALL OVER THE COMING DAYS. NO FLOODING IS EXPECTED AT THESE LOCATIONS.

AT ALMA DAM 4...THE STAGE WEDNESDAY MORNING WAS 13.90 FEET. FLOOD STAGE
IS 16.0 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE TO FALL OVER THE NEXT
SEVERAL DAYS.

AT LANSING...THE STAGE WEDNESDAY MORNING WAS 16.24 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS
17.0 FEET. THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO REACH 16.50 FEET FRIDAY EVENING...WHICH
IS BELOW FLOOD STAGE.
