...A statement concerning The Cedar River at Lansing...Austin...
Turkey River at Elkader...

Local rainfall of 2 to 4 inches Monday morning has caused rapid rises
on area rivers, streams and creeks. However, no flooding is expected
at these points at this time.

Cedar River at Lansing...The stage this evening was 15.91 feet. Flood
stage is 18.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 16.50 feet Tuesday
morning, which is below flood stage.

Cedar River at Austin...The stage this evening was 11.30 feet. Flood
stage is 15.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 12.30 feet Tuesday
morning, which is below flood stage.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this evening was  8.27 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.50 feet
Wednesday, which is below flood stage.
