...A statement concerning The Turkey River at Elkader...and Garber...
and the Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...

Rainfall from yesterday, in addition to ice jamming, have resulted in
significant rises on area rivers, streams, and creeks. No flooding is
expected at this time, but rapid fluctuations can occur with ice jamming
and may lead to higher water level, so use this forecast with caution.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this morning was 11.40 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to continue to fall
through Thursday.

Turkey River at Garber...The stage this morning was 14.68 feet. Flood
stage is 17.0 feet. The river is forecast to continue to fall through
Friday.

Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...The stage this morning was
11.31 feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river is forecast to
continue to fall through Thursday.
