...A statement concerning The Kickapoo River at Viola...Readstown...
and Soldiers Grove...

Very heavy rainfall of 3 to 5 inches overnight is resulting in
significant rises along the Kickapoo River and its tributaries.
For the Kickapoo from Viola downstream through Soldier`s Grove,
the river is expected to remain below flood stage at this time.
The latest forecast information is provided below.


Kickapoo River at Viola...The stage at 815 am was 9.35 ft. Flood
stage is 14.0 feet. The river is forecast to rise to 12.10 feet
tonight.

Kickapoo River at Readstown...The stage this morning was 8.61 feet.
Flood stage is 11.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.00 feet
tonight.

Kickapoo River at Soldiers Grove...The stage this morning was 11.83
feet. Flood stage is 13.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 12.50
feet tonight.
