...A statement concerning The Turkey River at Elkader...and Garber...

Ice jams, along with recent precipitation and melting snow, are causing
significant rises on area rivers, streams, and creeks. However, no
flooding is expected at this time.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this morning was 10.80 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to continue to fall
over the next several days.

Turkey River at Garber...The stage this morning was 14.37 feet. Flood
stage is 17.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 14.90 feet Monday
morning, which is below flood stage.
