Hydrologic Statement

1243 PM CST MON FEB 20 2017

...A statement concerning The Root River at Houston...the Turkey River at
Elkader...and the Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...

Forecast rainfall combined with ground that may be saturated or frozen
is expected to cause rises on area rivers, streams, and creeks. However,
no flooding is expected at this time.

Root River at Houston...The stage this morning was  6.56 feet. Flood
stage is 15.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 12.8 feet
Tuesday, which is below flood stage.

Turkey River at Elkader...The stage this morning was  8.59 feet.
Flood stage is 12.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 10.5 feet
Wednesday evening, which is below flood stage.

Upper Iowa River at Dorchester Hwy 76...The stage today was  9.26
feet. Flood stage is 14.0 feet. The river is forecast to reach 11.7
feet Wednesday morning, which is below flood stage.
