...A STATEMENT CONCERNING THE WISCONSIN RIVER AT CASTLE ROCK DAM
AND IN THE MUSCODA AREA...

RUNOFF FROM MELTING SNOW OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS AS WELL AS RECENT
RAINFALL IS RESULTING IN HIGH WATER ALONG THE WISCONSIN RIVER. NO
FLOODING IS EXPECTED AROUND THE CASTLE ROCK DAM AREA...OR IN THE
MUSCODA AREA. HOWEVER...WATER LEVELS WILL BE WITHIN A FEW FEET OF
FLOOD STAGE.

THE LATEST RIVER FORECAST INFORMATION IS INCLUDED BELOW.

FOR THE WISCONSIN RIVER AT CASTLE ROCK DAM...THE FLOW THIS EVENING
WAS 13330.00 CFS. FLOODING BEGINS AT 30000 CFS. THE RIVER IS
EXPECTED TO REMAIN NEAR 13000 CFS UNTIL SATURDAY MORNING...THEN A
DROP TO AROUND 11000 CFS IS EXPECTED. THAT LEVEL LOOKS TO CONTINUE
INTO NEXT WEEK.

FOR THE WISCONSIN RIVER AT MUSCODA...THE STAGE FRIDAY EVENING WAS
7.51 FEET. FLOOD STAGE IS 9 FEET. THE RIVER REACHED A CREST ON
WEDNESDAY JUST OVER 8 FEET...AND HAS BEEN FALLING SLOWLY SINCE THEN.
THE RIVER IS FORECAST TO CONTINUE TO FALL OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL
DAYS...DROPPING BELOW 7 FEET BY SUNDAY MORNING...AND BELOW 6 FEET BY
MONDAY.
