There were a few breaks in the persistent cloud cover today, but
skies once again became overcast during the mid afternoon.
Temperatures were in the 30s across the region.
A cold front will move through the region late tonight into Tuesday.
A narrow band of snow showers is expected with the frontal passage.
A quick dusting to half inch of snow may be possible as the band of
snow passes through, though accumulations may be higher towards
northern Wisconsin. In addition to the snow, areas of drizzle and
fog may develop ahead of the cold front. Low temperatures are
expected to range from the mid 20s in southeast Minnesota to the
lower 30s across southern Wisconsin. Temperatures will generally
hold steady throughout the day on Tuesday. Precipitation chances
will clear much of the region by Tuesday afternoon, but a few snow
showers may persist across the northern half of Wisconsin.
Mainly dry and colder weather is expected for the rest of the work
week. Highs will be limited to around 15 to 25 degrees, while low
temperatures will generally be around 10 to 15 degrees.
