...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT
FOR MITCHELL AND FLOYD COUNTIES...

At 502 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Stacyville to 6 miles southeast of Osage to near
Marble Rock, moving east at 80 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters report winds of 65 to 70 mph with
         power outages and trees down.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

These severe storms will be near...
  Riceville around 510 PM CDT.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Mitchell, McIntire, Carpenter, Colwell and Orchard.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread
wind damage. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away
from windows.

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and widespread
significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not immediately
likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of
a building. These storms may cause serious injury and significant
property damage.
