URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
914 PM CST TUE FEB 2 2016

...LIGHT SNOW OR WINTRY MIX THIS EVENING WILL GIVE WAY TO A
ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW OVERNIGHT...

.THE HEAVIEST SNOW HAS LIFTED NORTH AND INTO EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA
AND NORTHERN WISCONSIN THIS EVENING. HOWEVER...AN AREA OF LIGHT
SNOW CONTINUES IN THE VICINITY OF LA CROSSE AND ADJACENT AREAS OF
SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA AND CENTRAL WISCONSIN. SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WITH
THIS AREA OF SNOW HAVE GENERALLY BEEN LESS THAN AN INCH. ELSEWHERE...
LIGHT SNOW OR A WINTRY MIX OF SNOW...SLEET...FREEZING DRIZZLE AND
RAIN HAVE RESULTED IN SOME MINOR ICE ACCUMULATIONS AND SLICK
ROADWAYS. SNOW TOTALS SO FAR RANGE FROM 3 TO 8 INCHES.

FOR LATE THIS EVENING AND OVERNIGHT...LOOK FOR AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO
3 INCHES OF SNOW FOR MUCH OF THE REGION AS ANOTHER ROUND OF SNOW
CURRENTLY ACROSS CENTRAL IOWA LIFTS NORTHEAST ACROSS THE UPPER
MISSISSIPPI RIVER VALLEY. THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS ARE LIKELY SOUTH OF
INTERSTATE 90. WITHIN THIS SNOW...THERE STILL COULD BE A WINTRY
MIX AND A GLAZE OF ICE IS POSSIBLE WHERE FREEZING DRIZZLE OCCURS.

IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...GUSTY WINDS WILL PRODUCE SOME BLOWING
AND DRIFTING SNOW MAINLY WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
