URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
530 AM CST TUE MAR 3 2015

...FREEZING DRIZZLE AND SNOW DEVELOPING THIS MORNING...

.FREEZING DRIZZLE HAS BEEN REPORTED ACROSS PARTS OF THE REGION
THIS MORNING AND COULD CAUSE SOME ICY ROADS. SOME SNOW COULD MIX
IN AS WELL...BUT ACCUMULATIONS LOOK TO BE ON THE LIGHT SIDE TO
START THE MORNING. 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW IS EXPECTED ACROSS THE
REGION WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS MORE LIKELY TO OCCUR IN NORTH
CENTRAL WISCONSIN.

AS THE SNOW COMES TO AN END THIS AFTERNOON...NORTHWEST WINDS WILL
INCREASE WITH GUSTS FROM 30 TO 40 MPH. THESE WINDS ARE EXPECTED
TO CAUSE SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ESPECIALLY IN SOUTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHEAST IOWA WHERE CONDITIONS WOULD LEAD TO
DIFFICULT TRAVEL. IF THE SNOW DOES NOT OCCUR AND IS MAINLY
FREEZING DRIZZLE...THEN THE IMPACTS OF THIS WIND WILL BE MUCH
LESS.
