URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...WINTRY MIX TONIGHT...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL EXPECTED...

.PRECIPITATION HAS MOVED INTO NORTHEAST IOWA...SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA
AND SOUTHWEST WISCONSIN AS OF 8 PM CDT. PRECIPITATION HAS ALREADY
CHANGED OVER TO SNOW ACROSS MUCH OF SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA...BUT
REMAINS A RAIN...FREEZING RAIN...AND SLEET MIX ACROSS MUCH OF
NORTHEAST IOWA INTO PORTIONS OF WESTERN WISCONSIN. AIR AND ROAD
TEMPERATURES ARE GENERALLY WARM ENOUGH TO LIMIT ICING...ALTHOUGH
A LIGHT GLAZE HAS BEEN REPORTED ON SOME COLDER ELEVATED SURFACES
AND VEGETATION. AS THE EVENING PROGRESSES...THE WINTRY MIX WILL
CHANGE OVER TO MOSTLY SNOW WITH ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 3 INCHES.

THIS WILL MAKE FOR SLIPPERY TRAVEL TONIGHT INTO THE OVERNIGHT
HOURS. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR ANOTHER NIGHT OF WINTER
WEATHER DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE HAZARDS COULD CONTINUE INTO THE
WEDNESDAY MORNING COMMUTE EAST OF THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER.
