URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...OCCASIONAL BLIZZARD CONDITIONS STILL POSSIBLE FOR A SMALL
PORTION OF NORTHEAST IOWA...

.THE MITCHELL COUNTY SHERIFF DEPARTMENT REPORTED OCCASIONAL
VISIBILITIES AS LOW AS 300 TO 500 FEET THIS MORNING BECAUSE OF THE
FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW. REPORTS FROM OTHER COUNTIES INDICATED
VISIBILITIES WHERE GENERALLY A MILE OR BETTER.

THE NORTHWEST WINDS HAVE DIMINISHED A LITTLE BIT AND WERE
GENERALLY SUSTAINED BETWEEN 15 AND 25 MPH WITH SOME GUSTS TO
AROUND 35 MPH. THESE WIND SPEEDS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WITH THE WORST CONDITIONS POSSIBLE
CLOSER TO INTERSTATE 35 OVER NORTHERN IOWA. WHILE THE REST OF
NORTHEAST IOWA INTO SOUTHEAST MINNESOTA WILL EXPERIENCE SOME
BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...THE VISIBILITIES ARE NOT EXPECTED TO
BE REDUCED BELOW A MILE. ROAD CONDITIONS SHOULD REMAIN PARTIALLY
SNOW COVERED.

WITH NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES IN CONDITIONS EXPECTED THROUGH THE
MORNING...THE BLIZZARD WARNING WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR MITCHELL
AND FLOYD COUNTIES. THE BLIZZARD WARNING HAS BEEN CANCELED AND
REPLACED WITH A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR DODGE...MOWER...HOWARD
AND CHICKASAW COUNTIES. THE REMAINING COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST
MINNESOTA AND NORTHEAST IOWA EAST TO THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER REMAIN
IN THE WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.
