...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 600 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA extending from 20 nm to
60 nm...

At 523 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 17 nm south of R7 Tower to
12 nm south of R2 Tower, moving east at 35 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, and small
         hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally
         hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural
         damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly
         higher waves.

Severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
