...MORE HEAVY RAINFALL HEADED FOR THE DES MOINES METRO AREA...

SEVERAL CLUSTERS OF THUNDERSTORMS ARE MOVING ACROSS THE INTERSTATE
80 CORRIDOR. THE FIRST AREA OF STORMS WAS A LONG A LINE FROM
STATE CENTER TO BAXTER TO PRAIRIE CITY. A SECOND AREA WAS LOCATED
FROM ADEL TO WINTERSET AND BEHIND THAT...ANOTHER AREA OF STORMS
FROM STUART TO JUST EAST OF GREENFIELD. THE STORMS WERE MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH.

RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF AN INCH TO AN INCH AND A HALF ARE LIKELY AS EACH
OF THESE CLUSTERS OF STORMS PASSES THROUGH THE AREA.  THE STORMS
THAT HAD MOVED THROUGH THE DES MOINES METRO AREA EARLIER AND ARE NOW
LOCATED FROM BAXTER TO PRAIRIE CITY PRODUCED JUST OVER AN INCH OF
RAIN AND NOW THE STORMS LOCATED FROM ADEL TO WINTERSET WILL MOVE
INTO THE METRO AREA BY 1240 AM AND MAY PRODUCE ANOTHER INCH OR SO OF
RAINFALL.  PONDING OF WATER ON ROADWAYS AND RAPID RISES IN SMALL
STREAMS AND CREEKS ARE LIKELY IF ANOTHER INCH OF RAIN FALLS. AVOID
DRIVING THROUGH STANDING WATER OR FLOODED AREAS.
