The National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southeastern Atchison County in northwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Holt County in northwestern Missouri...
  Northern Nodaway County in northwestern Missouri...

* Until 330 PM CDT.

* At 305 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Skidmore, or
  11 miles north of Mound City, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Maryville, Mound City, Burlington Junction, Skidmore, Craig,
  Pickering, Quitman, and Corning.

This includes Interstate 29 between mile markers 85 and 98.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for northwestern
Missouri.
