...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 10 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE RIO GRANDE AND
SOUTHERN EDWARDS PLATEAU...

The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a
Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in
effect from noon today to 10 PM CDT this evening.

* WINDS...Southeast 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 13-20 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop can spread rapidly and
  exhibit resistance to control. Any outdoor activity that could
  produce flames or sparks is discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
