NORTHEASTERN OCONEE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The severe thunderstorm which prompted the warning is no longer
expected to track into Transylvania County, so the warning has been
cancelled there.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 330 PM EDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN PICKENS COUNTY...

At 305 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles northwest
of Pickens, or near Jocassee Gorges, moving east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Table Rock State Park, Jocassee Gorges, Sunset, Sassafras Mountain,
Rocky Bottom, Lake Jocassee, and Keowee Toxaway State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Brief damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines over small
areas. A brief period of large hail is also possible. Seek shelter
inside an interior room.

If on or near Lake Jocassee, get away from the water and move
indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
