...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 700 PM CDT
FOR NORTHERN MCPHERSON AND SOUTHEASTERN SALINE COUNTIES...

At 626 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Assaria to 5 miles east of Lindsborg to 5 miles
northwest of Galva, moving northeast at 50 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters reported 57 mph winds on the
         McPherson and Saline County line at 624 PM.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Mcpherson, Lindsborg, Galva, Canton, Marquette, Assaria, Gypsum,
Smolan, Falun, Bridgeport, Roxbury, and Kipp.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central
Kansas.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
