A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE ITS EASTWARD TRACK
THROUGH EASTERN KENTUCKY TODAY. RAIN WILL MIX WITH AND CHANGE TO SNOW
FIRST OVER THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS ABOVE 3000 FEET. THEN SNOW LEVELS
WILL GRADUALLY DESCEND TO THE VALLEYS THROUGH THIS MORNING...AND
BEGIN SPREADING IN FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE AREA DURING THE DAY
MONDAY. SOME SLICK SPOTS ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING ACROSS THE HIGHER
TERRAIN. EXPECT SNOW SHOWERS TO CONTINUE THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT AS
COLDER AIR FILTERS IN FROM THE NORTHWEST.

TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND 1 INCH ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS MAINLY
HIGHER ELEVATIONS ABOVE 2000 FEET BORDERING VIRGINIA THROUGH THE DAY
MONDAY. OTHERWISE...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF LESS THAN A HALF AN INCH
ARE POSSIBLE FOR THE REMAINDER OF EASTERN KENTUCKY WITH MOST PLACES
SEEING NO MORE THAN A DUSTING. FALLING TEMPERATURES TODAY INTO
TONIGHT...ALONG WITH ANY AREAS THAT RECEIVE SNOW...WILL MAKE FOR THE
POTENTIAL OF A FEW SLICK SPOTS.

STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO AND LOCAL MEDIA OUTLETS FOR
FURTHER DETAILS OR UPDATES.
