A LARGE RIDGE OF ARCTIC HIGH PRESSURE HAS SETTLED OVER PORTIONS OF
THE REGION THIS MORNING. THIS COLD AIR HAS ALLOWED TEMPERATURES
TO FALL INTO THE SINGLE DIGITS AND TEENS ACROSS THE MUCH OF
EASTERN KENTUCKY. AREA ROADWAYS THAT BECAME WET YESTERDAY DUE TO
SNOW MELT HAVE BECOME FROZEN...LEADING TO SLICK CONDITIONS IN
SPOTS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE. BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES WILL BE
PARTICULARLY VULNERABLE TO REFREEZING.

MOTORISTS WILL NEED TO EXERCISE CAUTION THIS MORNING AND ALLOW
EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR DESTINATION.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING ACROSS THE SOUTHEASTERN UNITED STATES
HAS SPREAD SNOW NORTH INTO PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN KENTUCKY THIS
MORNING. THE SNOW WILL SPREAD FURTHER TO THE NORTH AND EAST
THROUGH THE MORNING...BEFORE EXITING THE REGION AROUND MIDDAY
TODAY. THE CHANCES FOR SNOW ARE GREATEST SOUTH OF A STEARNS TO
LONDON TO HAZARD TO PRESTONSBURG TO SOUTH WILLIAMSON LINE. A
DUSTING TO AROUND AN INCH IS POSSIBLE IN THIS AREA ON TODAY.
