...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN OWSLEY...
NORTHWESTERN LESLIE...NORTHWESTERN PERRY AND SOUTH CENTRAL BREATHITT
COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 518 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Whoopflarea, or 12 miles northwest of Hyden, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hazard, Buckhorn, Altro, Avawam, Bush Branch, Saul, Sizerock,
Dryhill, Lamont, Shoal, Valjean, Toulouse, Kaliopi, Krypton, Barwick,
Wolf Coal, Confluence, Beech, Gays Creek, and Whoopflarea.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
