...HIGH SURF ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM THIS EVENING TO 9 AM
PDT WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 10 feet with dangerous rip
  currents.

* WHERE...San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara
  County Central Coast Beaches.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 9 AM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...There is an increased risk for ocean drowning. Rip
  currents can pull swimmers and surfers out to sea. Large
  breaking waves can cause injury, wash people off beaches and
  rocks, and capsize small boats near shore.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions, or stay
near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly in
such conditions, stay off the rocks.

...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM PDT THIS EVENING
THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Elevated high tides around 6.7 - 6.8 feet are expected
  during the evening today and tomorrow. Combined with moderate
  surf, nuisance coastal flooding is possible.

* WHERE...Ventura County Beaches.

* WHEN...From 6 PM PDT this evening through Wednesday evening.

* IMPACTS...Pooling of sea water is possible around high tide at
  beach and harbor areas that is uncommon with normal tidal
  ranges. Slightly enhanced beach erosion is also possible. No
  significant damage is expected.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tides will occur between 9 and 10 PM.

stay near occupied lifeguard towers. Rock jetties can be deadly
in such conditions, stay off the rocks.
