The National Weather Service in Midland has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northwestern Pecos County in southwestern Texas...

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 328 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 11 miles west of
  Fort Stockton, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect
           considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
  Fort Stockton, Fort Stockton-Pecos County Airport, and Firestone
  Test Track.

This includes Interstate 10 between mile markers 235 and 288.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for southwestern
Texas.
