Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern Wisconsin

.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather conditions are expected today as a hot and dry
day is expected with highs in the upper 70s to approaching 80 with
dewpoints in the mid 30s. Largely modest northwest winds expected
with minimum relative humidities falling to 20-25% with potential
for RHs to drop as low as 15% with stronger mixing (~8000 ft).
The FFMC fuel moisture values are forecast to be around 90 to 91
for south central WI, with the highest values concentrated toward
central WI where drought conditions persist. An SPS has been
issued for the driest areas of southern WI. Highs Monday will be
slightly cooler (low 70s) though remaining dry with light winds
and minimum RHs around 25-30%.
