...Heavy rainfall to bring a flash flood threat to central MN and
west central WI tonight...

.A line of training thunderstorms will produce very heavy rainfall
from just west of the Twin Cities metro area into west central
Wisconsin near Eau Claire. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 5
inches is expected overnight.

...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CDT THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of Minnesota and west central
  Wisconsin, including the following areas, in Minnesota,
  Carver, Dakota, Goodhue, Hennepin, Le Sueur, McLeod, Meeker,
  Ramsey, Rice, Scott, Sibley, Washington, and Wright. In west
  central Wisconsin, Dunn, Eau Claire, Pepin, Pierce, and St.
  Croix.

* Until 6 AM CDT Thursday

* Thunderstorms producing excessive rainfall amounts in the 2 to
  5 inch range overnight.


* This could lead to flooding of roads, low-lying areas and fast-
  responding creeks and streams.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
