...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EASTERN SULLIVAN...WEST CENTRAL
JOHNSON AND NORTHERN CARTER COUNTIES THROUGH 115 PM EDT...

At 1236 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Elizabethton, moving northeast at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bristol Tn, Elizabethton, Hampton, Watauga, South Holston Dam,
Hunter, Morril`s Cave, Doeville, and Sadie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Morristown.
