NORMAL PRECIPITATION...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE IN ROCHESTER WAS 22.6 DEGREES. THIS WAS 2.3
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH WAS 29.0 WHILE THE AVERAGE LOW
WAS 16.2 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 52
DEGREES ON THE 27TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE IN FEBRUARY WAS
11 DEGREES BELOW ZERO WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 13.

A TOTAL OF 0.65 INCHES OF LIQUID PRECIPITATION WAS MEASURED DURING
THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. THIS AMOUNT WAS 0.18 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THE
GREATEST 24-HOUR PRECIPITATION TOTAL WAS 0.43 INCHES WHICH OCCURRED
ON THE 2ND AND 3RD. THERE WAS A TOTAL OF 11.1 INCHES OF SNOW DURING
THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY. THE GREATEST ONE-DAY SNOWFALL TOTAL WAS 6.7
INCHES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 2ND OF THE MONTH.

NORMAL.  THE COLDEST PERIOD WAS FROM THE 9TH THROUGH 14TH... WHEN
TEMPERATURES AVERAGED JUST 5.4 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 13.3 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL.  DURING THE REMAINING 12 DAYS OF THE MONTH...TEMPERATURES
WERE ABOVE NORMAL. THE AVERAGE DURING THIS TIME PERIOD WAS 10
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.  FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH...TEMPERATURES AVERAGED
22.6 DEGREES.  THIS WAS 2.3 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL.  THIS WAS THE 21ST
WARMEST FEBRUARY AND THE WARMEST SINCE 2012 WHEN THE AVERAGE WAS
27.7 DEGREES.

MOST OF THE PRECIPITATION AND SNOW FELL ON THE 2ND AND 3RD WHEN A
WINTER STORM MOVED NORTHEAST THROUGH THE REGION.  THIS STORM
PRODUCED 9.9 INCHES OF SNOW WITH A WATER EQUIVALENT OF 0.63 INCHES.
THIS WAS THE 5TH LARGEST FEBRUARY SNOWFALL AND THE LARGEST SINCE
FEBRUARY 25 2007.  THE LARGEST FEBRUARY SNOWFALL WAS 14.5 INCHES ON
FEBRUARY 27-28 1893.
