...TEMPERATURES AT ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA WERE ABOVE NORMAL AND
PRECIPITATION WAS ABOVE NORMAL DURING THE MONTH OF OCTOBER...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 49.6 DEGREES. THIS WAS 1.2 DEGREES ABOVE
NORMAL. THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS 58,2 DEGREES AND THE
AVERAGE LOW TEMPERATURE WAS 41.1 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE
FOR THE MONTH WAS 77 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 8TH. THE COLDEST
TEMPERATURE WAS 22 DEGREES WHICH OCCURRED ON THE 13TH AND 31ST.

ROCHESTER RECEIVED 5.09 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION DURING THE MONTH.
THIS WAS 2.85 INCHES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS MADE IT THE 4TH WETTEST
OCTOBER.  THE GREATEST 24-HOUR PRECIPITATION TOTAL WAS 1.44 INCHES
WHICH OCCURRED FROM THE 6TH. 2.6 INCHES OF SNOW FELL DURING THE
MONTH AT ROCHESTER AND IT ALL FELL ON THE 27TH.  THIS TIED 1989 FOR
THE 8TH SNOWIEST OCTOBER.

OF SNOW FELL ON THE 27TH. THIS BREAKS THE OLD RECORD OF 1.5 INCHES
SET IN 1917.

IT WAS A WARM MONTH OF OCTOBER AT ROCHESTER, MINNESOTA. THERE WAS
ONLY 7 DAYS WITH A TEMPERATURE AT OR BELOW FREEZING. THE AVERAGE FOR
THE MONTH OF OCTOBER IS 8 DAYS WITH AT OR BELOW FREEZING
TEMPERATURES. THERE WERE 7 DAYS IN OCTOBER WITH A HIGH TEMPERATURE
OF 70 DEGREES OR GREATER. 2 MORE THAN THE AVERAGE OF 5 DAYS. THE
AVERAGE OVERALL TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER WAS 1.2 DEGREES
ABOVE NORMAL.

PRECIPITATION WAS 2.85 INCHES GREATER THAN NORMAL FOR THE MONTH OF
OCTOBER. 1.44 OF THE 2.85 INCHES THAT FELL DURING THE MONTH OCCURRED
WITHIN A 24-HOUR PERIOD ON THE 6TH.  THE DRIEST STRETCH WAS FROM THE
15TH THROUGH THE 20TH WHEN ONLY FOUR HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH OF
PRECIPITATION WAS RECORDED. 2.6 INCHES OF SNOW FELL DURING THE MONTH
OF OCTOBER. ALL OF THE SNOWFALL OCCURRED ON THE 27TH. ON AVERAGE IT
