The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northern Kimble County in west central Texas...
  Menard County in west central Texas...
  Eastern Schleicher County in west central Texas...

* Until 1145 PM CDT.

* At 839 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
  have fallen around Menard and west of Menard. Additional rainfall
  amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash
  flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Menard, Fort Mckavett, London, Saline, Yates Crossing, The
  Intersection Of Us-83 And Ranch Road 1773, The Intersection Of
  Us-83 And Highway 29, Camp Sol Mayer, Us-83 Near The Kimble-Menard
  County Line, Cleo and Us-83 Near The Menard-Concho County Line.

This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
Toe Nail crossing San Saba River, Decker St. crossing San Saba
River, crossings along FM 1221, RM 2291 crossings along Bear Creek,
KC 210 crossing West Bear Creek, Dunagan crossing San Saba River,
Russell crossing Rocky Creek, Ranch Road 2291 crossing Las Moras
Creek, Callan Lane crossing and Mahan crossing Taylor Branch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
