.Summary...
Cold weather at the end of December continued into January.
There were a few periods warmer than average, mainly during
the second and fourth weeks. The coldest periods were from the 1st
through the 7th, and the 12th through the 18th, when daily
temperatures were as much as 10-30 degrees below average. The month
ended a little over two degrees below average.

Rainfall was close to average. It was the wettest January in five years.

Snowfall was below average, even though it was the snowiest January in
seven years.

The average high, low and monthly temperatures were the coldest since
2014.

.Daily Temperatures...
Daily temperatures were above average on 15 days, and below average
on 16 days.

There were eight days with high temperatures at or below freezing,
which was the most since 2010.

There were 22 days with low temperatures at or below freezing, which
was the most since 2016.

There were five days with low temperatures at or below 10 degrees, which
was the most since 2014.

There were four days with low temperatures at or below 5 degrees, which
was the most since 1997.

There were two days with temperatures at or below zero, which was the
most since 2014, and the first time since 2014 with temperatures that
cold.
