IN THE UPPER 90S TO NEAR 100 DEGREES. PINE BLUFF HIT THE CENTURY
MARK FOR THE FIRST TIME IN AUGUST SINCE 2013...REACHING 100 ON
AUGUST 7TH.

DURING THE REMAINDER OF THE MONTH...TEMPERATURES WERE LARGELY BELOW
AVERAGE...HELPING AUGUST TO BE NEARLY A DEGREE COOLER THAN AVERAGE
FOR THE MONTH. RAINFALL WAS SPARSE THROUGHOUT THE MONTH...AND THE
MAJORITY OF IT FELL DURING A SIX-DAY PERIOD FROM THE 18TH THROUGH
THE 23RD.

THE AVERAGE HIGH TEMPERATURE WAS THE WARMEST SINCE 2013. THE AVERAGE
LOW TEMPERATURE WAS THE COOLEST SINCE 2009. THE AVERAGE MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE WAS THE WARMEST SINCE 2013.
