1/3 OF THE WAVES...ALONG WITH THE OCCASIONAL HEIGHT OF THE AVERAGE
HIGHEST 10 PERCENT OF THE WAVES.

1039 AM CDT TUE MAY 23 2017

.SYNOPSIS...A WEAK FRONTAL BOUNDARY OVER THE NORTHWEST GULF OF
MEXICO WILL PROVIDE EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS ACROSS THE NORTHERN
PORTIONS OF THE LOWER TEXAS COASTAL WATERS AND EAST TO SOUTHEAST
WINDS ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE LOWER TEXAS COASTAL
WATERS TODAY. A WEAK COLD FRONT WILL MOVES THROUGH THE COASTAL
WATERS TONIGHT AND WINDS WILL SHIFT TO THE NORTHEAST AND INCREASE
LATE TONIGHT INTO EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING WITH SEAS INCREASING THROUGH
AT LEAST MIDDAY WEDNESDAY. SOUTHEAST WINDS QUICKLY RETURN
WEDNESDAY NIGHT BECOMING STRONG THURSDAY AND FRIDAY WITH THE
INTERACTION BETWEEN HIGH PRESSURE OVER THE GULF OF MEXICO AND
LOWER PRESSURE OVER WEST TEXAS. SMALL CRAFT ADVISORIES MAY BE
NECESSARY WEDNESDAY MORNING AND AGAIN THURSDAY AND FRIDAY BEFORE
MORE MODERATE MARINE CONDITIONS RETURN SATURDAY. SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS WILL INCREASE TODAY INTO TONIGHT WITH SOME OF THE
THUNDERSTORMS BECOMING STRONG WITH STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND
FREQUENT LIGHTNING.
