...More Heavy Rainfall Expected Wednesday Night...

Over the past couple of weeks...significant rainfall has fallen
across much of northern Lower Michigan.

Heavy rainfall once again arrives in the region Wednesday night as a
storm passes through the Great Lakes. Rainfall amounts of are
expected to range from around 0.50" to 2.00" over the area with the
highest amounts expected in eastern Upper Peninsula and near the
Straits.

Flooding may occur because the ground is saturated from recent
rains. Small streams and rivers could rise close to or above
flood stage Thursday.

If you live near rivers and creeks, especially in areas that have
experienced heavy rain in the past few days, please monitor water
levels and pay attention to forecasts from the National Weather
Service at http://weather.gov/gaylord.
