URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED
Flood Watch
National Weather Service Gray ME
645 PM EDT Sun Apr 30 2017

...KENNEBEC RIVER WILL BE HIGH FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS...

.The recent snow melt continues to lead to rises in the headwaters
of area rivers. In the Kennebec River basin, Moosehead Lake is
already full and forecast flows downstream for the next few days
will increase. This will combine with rainfall of 1 to 2 inches
tonight into Tuesday to possibly cause minor flooding in the
headwaters and also downstream along the Kennebec River. The most
likely river forecast point to see flooding would be at Skowhegan,
though if more rain falls than is forecast, flooding could also
extend to Augusta.
