The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
  Lowndes County in south central Alabama...

* Until 1130 PM CDT

* At 836 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
  minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have
  already fallen in portions of the county. Flooding will be
  possible in poor-drainage, low-lying, and urbanized areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Fort Deposit, Mosses, Hayneville, White Hall, Gordonville,
  Lowndesboro, Benton, Lowndes County Airport, Beechwood, Logan,
  Calhoun, Manack, Letohatchee, Mount Willing, Collirene, Clover
  Hill, Farmersville and Fostoria.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
