The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Jefferson Davis Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
  Evangeline Parish in central Louisiana...
  Northwestern Acadia Parish in southwestern Louisiana...
  Eastern Allen Parish in southwestern Louisiana...

* Until 445 AM CDT

* At 244 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
  thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
  the advisory area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Eunice, Jennings, Oakdale, Ville Platte, Mamou, Welsh, Lake Arthur,
  Basile, Elton, Mermentau, Turkey Creek, Evangeline, Pine Prairie,
  Bayou Chicot, Duralde, Beaver, Chicot State Park, Pine Island,
  Thornwell and Reddell.

Additional rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected over the area. This
additional rain will result in minor flooding.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
