...A FLOOD WARNING FOR SMALL STREAMS FOR SNOWMELT REMAINS IN EFFECT
UNTIL 500 PM PDT THURSDAY FOR CENTRAL ELKO COUNTY...

At 210 AM PDT, the gauge at Powerhouse indicated Lamoille Creek is
at flood stage. Rapid snowmelt is occurring and will continue to
cause flooding. Lamoille Creek is currently at 5.0 ft and dropping
possibly to below flood stage but it will rise back above flood
stage this evening.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lamoille, parts of Spring Creek near the Ruby Mountains, and
Lamoille Canyon.

Flood waters are moving down Lamoille Creek. Flows are reaching its
highest around evening and will continue to flood this evening.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
