...THE SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 AM MST
FOR NORTHWESTERN MARICOPA AND EAST CENTRAL LA PAZ COUNTIES...

AT 836 AM MST...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE METEOROLOGISTS DETECTED
RAIN AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS FROM WEST OF WICKENBURG...TO NEAR
WENDEN...AND SOUTH TO THE INTERSTATE 10 CORRIDOR.

THE RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DECREASED IN INTENSITY SINCE 8 AM.
HOWEVER...CONTINUED RUNOFF AND LOCALIZED FLOODING FROM THE EARLIER
RAIN REMAINS POSSIBLE.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
