FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
311 AM EDT Sun Apr 23 2017

...Another round of low relative humidity today for parts of the
area...

.DISCUSSION...Weak and moisture starved cold front will drop south
across northern lower this morning and early afternoon, likely
passing rain-free in the process. Cold air advection will keep
temperatures cool and rh values somewhat elevated for areas north of
M-32. Biggest concern for areas closer to Saginaw Bay as
temperatures will have time to warm into the 60s before falling off
later this afternoon. Dearth of moisture tied to approaching front
and deeper mixing in this area will result in rh values once again
approaching critical levels for a time this afternoon. Winds will be
on the increase, but do look to remain below critical levels. Decent
rh recovery expected tonight, and slightly better low level moisture
Monday should keep rh values somewhat elevated. Next chance for any
rain doesn`t arrive until Tuesday night and especially Wednesday.
